The goal of the global “Fashion Revolution” movement is to bring more transparency to the fashion supply chain. Fashion lovers around the world are called upon to ask companies: who made my clothes? #whomademyclothes
PETER HAHN is naturally part of the “Fashion Revolution” and we are happy to answer this question. Using the hashtag #imadeyourclothes we are introducing the people behind our production. As an international trading company, we work together with many partners worldwide. In this cooperation we pay particular attention to the working conditions, because we want the people who produce goods for us to be treated fairly and we want to ensure that everything possible is done to protect their health and safety.
Here and now we give the people behind our fashion a voice and a face:
Peru – the origin of the unique INKADORO-style
Celestina
Celestina, called Celeste by everybody, is soon to celebrate her 20th anniversary in the knitting workshop. She was already there when PETER HAHN placed its first order and since then she has become production team leader. In her free time, she sews dolls for her nieces and takes care of her parents.
Germany – rooted in tradition
Magdalena
Magdalena is happy to be employed part-time. This enables her to manage her working hours flexibly, as she has a small child at home. She is a trained seamstress and very enthusiastic about her job. She told us „I just love sewing“. Magdalena has been working for the company for more than 2 years.
Portugal – the art of sewing at its finest
Manuela
Manuela has been in this sewing company for over 30 years and is now one of the supervisors. Most importantly, she pays attention to efficiency – because after all, we are always eager for the arrival of the beautiful new clothes at PETER HAHN. In her spare time, Manuela enjoys going for long walks.
Thailand – first-class yarn
